Stony Brook University Publishes 90,000 People’s Data on the Internet
During an overhaul of the Health Sciences Center library website at New York’s Stony Brook University accidentally published a data file on the Internet. The data included names and social security numbers of over 89,000 current and former faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Another shot fired in the death of the utility of the social security number.
