A Great interview with Michael Barrett, PayPal’s Chief Information Security Officer

H-Online has posted a really great interview with Michael Barrett, Chief Information Security Officer of PayPal. It discusses the PayPal Security Key, which is a One Time Password device for securing your PayPal account. Basically, you need to enter your user name, password, and the number displayed on the device in order to log into your PayPal account. This helps dramatically reduce the risk of phishers or malware criminals getting access to your PayPal account.

Readers of my blog will know that I have been a long time advocate of two factor authentication (something you know, and something you have). Look for more capabilities in this area coming from IronKey in the future.
